North and Central America is home to many unique cryptids. One of these is the subject of many stories, creating its own narrative folklore: the chupacabra. This "goat sucker" has caused a stir since the early 90s, preying on livestock but with varied reports on its looks. From these few stories, the folklore has grown to include restaurants, seasoning, books and more in its own subculture of mythological scary creatures.
